One of our major objectives as a university and as a civilization is to reduce conflict between peoples through education and the promotion of cross-cultural understanding. As the President of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, I will strive to recommit our students, faculty, staff, and alumni to enhancing understanding and creating a better future for everyone.
